"The kind of education given to the library profession is normally reflected in the service given by the profession."
-Dr. S. R. Ranganathan.
The Chakdaha College Central Library is the intellectual hub of the Chakdaha College and provides a serene haven for those interested in pursuit of knowledge, in finding a quiet corner for their learning, research and writing or even just catching up on the happenings of the day and the goings-on in the world through the newspapers and Internet. It is a place to read, surf, learn, disseminate and debate.
The Chakdaha College Central Library functions as the primary information resource centre, and repository of all printed for teaching, learning and research activities at the institute. Apart from textbooks and recommended reading material prescribed for each course offered at the institute, the library houses a growing collection of learning and research monographs, reports, multi-volume reference works, dictionaries, encyclopedias, handbooks, and so on.
